How to create a separate Apple ID with the same phone number?

Me and wife has the same Apple ID account and things are being merged together. When I attempt to create a new Apple ID it doesn't allow me to get the verification code. Am I able to create another Apple ID using my same phone number?

But when I go through the process, it asks me for a phone number to verify my identity. Here is the problem: I do not want to give Apple such personal information like a phone number. my ipad has been used to create too many apple ID s. How to use another apple id to use with this ipad? I want to use my apple id with this ipad air. But when i sign in this ipad air with my aplle id shows verification error. [Personal Information Edited by Moderator]
