Why uninstalled apps are consuming lots of mobile data on iPhone?

It looks as if it’s sorted. The update alone didn’t resolve it, but removing the apps from the App Store that had been previously downloaded seems to have done it.

It’s used up 1Gb of data and she didn’t have a sim when they were deleted. No apps have been deleted since she had the sim. This is a huge issue and it’s being overlooked because you think I don’t understand how it works.

Yes the device is on the current version 18.3.2. I have actually just tried a factory reset on the phone and I've cleared the stats data down again. I've also gone into the apps app and hid all the old apps from the system (i saw this as another suggestions) so that the appear as downloadable apps again, not the cloud+arrow sybol when you previously had them.

I'm at a loss as its consuming her data. If nothing can be done, I'll have to cancel her contract as it will use the 3Gb allowed on her account in around 3 hours.

Please don’t tell me it’s historic data. My daughters phone has only had a sim for 24 hours

Imagine for a second that no apps have been deleted since resetting the data , and I’m watching the data rise by the minute.

also since removing the apps from the app store as i said earlier, it seems to not be pulling any more data - i'll keep you updated though
