How do I interpret MacBook Air battery cycle count based on power usage history?

Hello everyone!

I bought my MacBook Air on April 1st, today’s April 11th and I got 5 cycles already despite the fact that I didn’t use my laptop that much. I also attach the photo of power usage history here and I calculated approximately 230% used, not 500% to get 5 cycles.

Can anybody, please, help me to figure out if the history of power usage confirms the number of cycle or there was the usage before the depicted period?

Don't overthink the battery health and cycles info. What I see there appears to be normal and acceptable.

Yes, it's possible there were several cycles already on the battery as a by product of manufacturing and testing. That is normal and nothing to worry about.

The best advice I can give for getting the most from your battery:

• Plug in when using the computer near available power.

• Use on battery when ac is unavailable.

• Don’t subject the computer and battery to extreme temperatures.

• Let the OS and charging circuits manage the charging.

• Try not to allow the battery to discharge deeply regularly before plugging in. Yes, it may happen from time to time, just don't make it a habit.

• Don't obsess over battery life and/or health.
