How do I use purchased iTunes songs as ringtones on iPhone?

I have a library of over 1200 songs that I have purchased in iTunes and I’m trying to use songs I purchased for ringtones. How can I do this? I keep seeing ‘use garage band’ but I can’t figure that out either.
