I want photos embedded in my email text, not attached as files

Why are my photos now attached to my emails as files and not embedded in the text and how can I fix this, please?

Thank you.

My first thought was to say that OBVIOUSLY I posted here because I was using the Apple mail app on my iPad, but then I realised that (a) I hadn’t said which email app I was using and moreover (b) you’re completely right in that I have no control over how the recipient chooses to view the email!

I guess I need to stop carefully composing emails with photos inserted into the descriptive text (this photo shows … and this other one is of …) when I am using my iPad and just say that the photos are attached, which is what I would do anyway if I wasn’t using my iPad. Then I can stop becoming ENRAGED when the sent email doesn’t look EXACTLY the same as the draft I’d spent ages so carefully putting together? That would be much more effective and much better for my health!

Thank you, that's true and is what I would do if the message was really important. However I'd be more likely to use my PC for something like that. The email I was getting myself upset over was just a thank you note to friends for some birthday gifts, so it really didn't matter where the photos were, except that I had made an incorrect assumption that made the text I'd sent look daft when the photos weren't embedded in it!
