iPhone calendar address not recognized

When adding a location to a new calendar event, the alert “Address not recognized” is displayed. This happens even if I attempt to use an address suggested from a map search (Apple Map app) an even when using the complete address from a contact that I created from a map search. This prevents me from using the Travel Time feature and I’m hoping to learn what I’m doing wrong.

IPhone Calendar crashes when adding location This issue started maybe a month ago but maybe sooner. Whenever I try to enter a location, the calendar app crashes. I have restarted, reset network location services, removed the app and reinstalled, updated to the most recent software, and chatted with Support all to no avail. After trial-and-error, I discovered the issue does not occur if I have iCloud as the default calendar. But I do not want iCloud as the default calendar because that means I have to change the Calendar whenever I create a New Event to the one I want. This is very frustrating, and it seems something changed to cause this glitch. Does anyone have any suggestions or does anyone know if Apple is working on this issue?
