Got it..I’m new to this, thanks. I get a code sent to my phone then one to my email then I’m asked for my credit card info for verification. After all that, I’m given a waiting period which is several days. At the end of that waiting period, I’m given another waiting period. It’s been a vicious circle over a month…..

Oops … either you omitted some critical information or (much more likely) you have been victimized in a scam. Apple would not normally ask for credit card information if all you were doing was resetting your Apple Account password.
