How to prevent iPhone screen from turning off after push notification?

I have an iPhone 5S.

Some program sends me a push notification.

I put the iPhone to sleep (quickly and once press the Power button). I receive a push notification, the screen lights up for 1 minute, and then goes out. Since the screen went out, I don’t know that I received a push notification. How can I make sure that the screen doesn’t go out after the push notification arrives?

What doesn't work: Settings - Display & Brightness - Auto-Lock: Never.

iPhone 5s, iOS 12

Hello!

There is no way to do that, even on the newest models. That’s what the ringer/haptic is for, to alert you that a notification has come in.

You can request this feature from Apple here: Product Feedback - Apple

lobsterghost1, You didn't get my idea, maybe because I don't know English (I'm writing with an online translator). I want the screen not to go out after a push notification.

I understand what you want. But you CAN'T have what you want. It would be a horrible drain on your battery if your screen kept a notification up until you had the time to look at your screen. You may think it would be a convenience, but it wouldn't be good for the phone's health, overall. I check my notifications often, by swiping down from the top middle of the screen anytime I want to see my notifications. And that's what you need to do.

Otherwise, this is a user to user only forum. Apple isn't here, nor are they reading for user feedback. Use the link H1290 provided if you want to share your thoughts with Apple. But DON'T expect Apple to change this as again, it wouldn't be good for the overall health of the phone.

Maybe there is some program that can be used to set this up?
Yeah, I agree that if you forget yourself, the battery will run out.
I'm planning to use an electric wire.

I'm not aware of any application you can use, which will fundamentally alter how iOS manages your phone. Whether you plug it in or not, won't change this. In addition, leaving a static image up on your screen for a prolonged period of time, could and likely would cause Screen Burnin. What you want is just NOT a good idea.

lobsterghost1, you don't need to swipe your finger, just press the Home button and if there was a push notification, then I will see it on the lock screen - you don't have to swipe your finger.

I should have noticed your tag line suggests you have an iPhone 5s. iPhone 5s was released in 2013, TWELVE years ago now. I haven't owned an iPhone with a home button in several years now. It's amazing your phone still works as it is an obsolete iPhone at this point. You may have noticed that many apps are no longer supported and the fact it is not a VoLTE capable phone, at some point, cellular service may not be possible on it either. You certainly got your money's worth, however!

On modern iPhones, there is no home button at all. Hence why I suggested swiping down to get your notifications, which is what we do on modern iPhones.
