Icloud storage bug is still an issue in ios 18.4.1 but it has improved a little bit

My icloud storage bug has been an issue since ios 18.0. It would double in size for no reason. It has improved a little bit but its not perfect. Messages arent being deleted either from the server end. Which has been an issue since ios 18.2 I spoke to apple and they said it takes up to 4 days for deleted texts to delete on the server end when u delete them. I also think theres a cache issue. Im now on 18.4.1 on my iphone se 2022

From your previous posts it does not appear you use Messages in iCloud, so has that changed? What are your seeing for your Messages when viewing your iCloud Storage and is it the Messages storage that doubles in size or are you seeing something else?

I have Messages in iCloud turned off on one of my devices and there is no storage being used by Messages. When not using Messages in iCloud, they will be stored in your backup, so you can expect your backup to continually increase in size if those Messages are not being deleted on your device.

Yea I delete texts manually. And I have my settings set to where, keep messages for 30 days. Im not sure what the issue is. I do have it turned off under icloud. Im just glad its not increasing by a lot. Originally it was doubling but now its not doubling but it is increasing. Maybe its the group texts I had with photos in them but like I said I deleted the texts.
