3rd gen apple tv not showing wifi networks

I bought a used Apple TV 3rd gen. I turned it on and no wifi networks show up and when I search it just spins it wheels and does nothing. I connected to the modem with an Ethernet cable and updated the software. Turned it off, turned the router off, connected everything back up minus the ethernet cable and wifi networks are still not showing up.

Apple TV network unavailable My Apple TV has always connected to my wifi just fine but all of a sudden it keeps saying "the network is temporarily unavailable. Try again later." I have restarted my TV and unplugged, and plugged it back in, and also unplugged and plugged back in the router. The wifi is working on my other devices so I know it isn't a wifi issue but I would like to know how to fix this.
