To use GPS with Google Maps on an iPhone, ensure Location Services are enabled and that Google Maps has permission to access your location. Also, make sure your date, time, and time zone are accurate, and that you have an active internet connection (cellular or Wi-Fi).

1. Enable Location Services:

  • Go to your iPhone's Settings app.
  • Tap on Privacy & Security.
  • Tap on Location Services.
  • Make sure Location Services is turned On.
  • Scroll down and find Google Maps in the list of apps.
  • Ensure Google Maps is set to While Using the App or Always. "While Using the App" is generally recommended unless you frequently share your real-time location.

2. Check Date, Time, and Time Zone:

  • Go to your iPhone's Settings app.
  • Tap on General.
  • Tap on Date & Time.
  • Make sure Set Automatically is turned On. If it's not, manually set your date, time, and time zone.

3. Ensure Internet Connection:

  • Make sure you have either a strong Wi-Fi connection or cellular data turned on.
  • If you're using cellular data, ensure you have a data plan and that your data is enabled.

4. Test GPS Accuracy:

  • After following the above steps, open Google Maps and see if your current location is accurately displayed as a blue dot on the map.
  • If your location is inaccurate or missing, you may need to further calibrate your device or check for other potential issues, as mentioned in the search results.
