Can Macbook load into internet recovery mode if disk is formatted?
My macbook is a MacBook Pro 2019 16 inch i9 1 tb. I have loaded into the recovery mode and formatted my main drive, Macintosh HD, and I do not have any other drives. After that, I have clicked on the “Install Seqouia” option and a loading started. Unfortunately, I overlooked the fact that internet recovery mode relies, well, on internet, and due to me being at the country side currently, speed is extremely low, Mac is estimating for process to be done within 25 hours.
My question is that is it safe for me to turn off my Mac so that I can boot into Recovery mode later, when I have higher speed internet. My SSD is completely blank now, no OS is installed on it so I am afraid that if I turn my macbook off, it will become bricked and impossible to restore without much more hassle.
