Setting up new apple trackpad with USB-C port with an old macbook pro early 2015
I purchased a Magic trackpad, the most recent one that comes with USB-C on both ends. I can't connect the cable to y macbook pro.
I tried connecting it using bluetooth and the trackpad seems to connect but gets detected as a mouse and not the trackpad that is, hence the cool trackpad features are not detected, besides moving the cursor is really slow and no gestures is seen, also can't set it up for 3-finger or 4-finger gestures, scrolling doesn't work, nor tap to click, basically nothing works other than moving the cursor and single and double clicking. I've seen several people with similar issue, but the solution is not clear.
Should I connect it with a usb-c(male) with lighting(female) then to the normal lightning(male) to the old USB-A?
Can I get the latest magic trackpad working on old macbook pro? (early 2015)
If yes, then how can I connect it properly so I get all the gestures and cool features?
Can anyone help?
