How do I find and remove unwanted photos on my iMac?

2020 27' iMac running OS Sequoia: there are hundreds of photos from my Photos for Mac in this Untitled folder in Documents. Why and can I delete them? Thank you.

I just noticed this today as I was trying to find more room on this 500GB Mac (only 23 GB left).

Folder showing up under "Volumes" I have a copy of the folder I keep my Lightroom photos in (Working Photos) that shows up under Macintosh HD>Volumes>Working Photos. The Working Photos folder in under the Pictures folder. The one under Volumes is not up to date, none of my photos from April show up in it. Where did this come from and how do I make it go away without risking my photos? Working Photos is 876 GB ... I am on a Studio M1 Max with 64GB RAM and 4TB SSD (1.75 TB free space) running Ventura 13.3.1.Attached find screen shot.

Recent photos are missing from my iMac RECENT PHOTOS ARE MISSING FORM MY IMAC. THEY WERE THERE A FEW DAYS AGO. I sat down today to continue to edit photos from a recent trip on my iMac (running on macOS Big Sur 11.7.4). Sadly, the photos are gone. They are not in the Trash. I'm thinking it has something to do with icloud or photo libraries (which I totally do not understand). I'm an entire idiot when it comes to computers despite using them daily for forty odd years. Maybe because you exported some photos there at some time in the past five years and forgot about doing it? That would the the explanation for such a folder on one of my Macs.

Folders inside Documents are generally user-created.
