How can I detect and remove potential spyware after accidentally sharing my iPhone hotspot?

I inadvertently gave my iPhone hotspot password while on a plane to a stranger. Not sure what I was thinking, and don't know why I couldn't have said "NO".

He went online for few seconds (may be 30-40 seconds) before I came back to my senses, and turned off the hotspot. Its been a week and since then I am losing peace.

My questions.

  1. Could he planted some spyware to monitor my activities?
  2. Does Apple have any tools to identify and spam or malwares? Or is there any place where I can see background processes and research if they are legitimate?
  3. Backing up my phone to iCloud, erasing it and restoring from iCloud would eliminate any foreign programs? Or is it a fruitless effort as I will be backing up the malware along with legitimate content?

Thank you.

There is no way to install anything on the host device through Personal Hotspot.

There is no malware that can affect an iPhone. There are not tools for it because it is entirely unnecessary.

Had anything been installed, again, nothing can be installed through hotspot it does not work that way, yes, backing up the iPhone would likely preserve this. And Restoring the iPhone, would place whatever hypothetical spyware might have been installed.

But again, there is no malware that can affect an iPhone, ad nothing can be installed through the hotspot feature.
