How can I detect and remove potential spyware after accidentally sharing my iPhone hotspot?
I inadvertently gave my iPhone hotspot password while on a plane to a stranger. Not sure what I was thinking, and don't know why I couldn't have said "NO".
He went online for few seconds (may be 30-40 seconds) before I came back to my senses, and turned off the hotspot. Its been a week and since then I am losing peace.
My questions.
- Could he planted some spyware to monitor my activities?
- Does Apple have any tools to identify and spam or malwares? Or is there any place where I can see background processes and research if they are legitimate?
- Backing up my phone to iCloud, erasing it and restoring from iCloud would eliminate any foreign programs? Or is it a fruitless effort as I will be backing up the malware along with legitimate content?
Thank you.
