How can I yank the emails on my iPhone 13?

My iPhone has stopped taking in emails as of April 2. Meaning: Nothing shows up as having arrived since April 2. Could that be because I've never got rid of any emails, they've piled up and I should clean them out? I know most people spend their time peering at their phones; I don't. I use a Mac mini M1 for email in and out. So how do I dump the massive -and mostly useless-collection of emails on my iPhone?
