How do I successfully purchase and use a ringtone on my iPhone?

RINGTONE PURCHASED i'm having the most difficult time purchasing a ringtone and being able to use it on my phone. I have no idea why it's this difficult. Does anyone have any advice?

I have literally spent three hours trying to add money and purchase the ringtones so that I can use it on my phone and nothing is working. It’s very frustrating. There’s gotta be something simple that fixes this if anybody knows please let me know

Why can’t I use my ringtones for my text tones? Long time ago, in a distant land, I purchased a ringtone and was able to use it as a text tone. Now all of a sudden two days ago it disappeared, and it only lets me use it for ringtones, not text tones. On my other iPhone, using a different Apple ID it works just fine and gives me the options to use text tones for ringtones and vice versa. Apple what is going on and why is it not working all of a sudden?
