undo "start movie on click" on keynote

When I insert a movie, either .mov or .mp4 into a slideshow, it is automatically on "start movie on click" mode and I cannot change this. The respective button under "format" is not presented.

You can usually find this option under the Format > Movie panel. If it’s not there, chances are the video is part of a build animation. Try clicking on the video, then go to the Animate tab and remove any Build In or Build Out effects. Also, check the Build Order panel — if the video is listed there, go ahead and remove it. That should bring the playback setting back. If it still doesn’t show up, try deleting the video and adding it again — that often resets things.
