How do I update my iPhone to iOS 26 beta?

You should NEVER install a beta on a device you rely on. Beta software is intended for testing on non-critical hardware. It is inherently unstable and there WILL be compatibility problems, especially with things like banking software.

No, it doesn't NEED to update.

Make sure you understand the consequences of installing a buggy release that isn't even at the public beta level before installing it. Make absolutely sure you have a full backup before proceeding.

Only install iOS 26 on a spare phone. Do NOT install iOS 26 on your phone that you need everyday.
