How do I recover my scratched off Apple Gift Card codes?

Received a gift card as a gift. Scratched off the silver shimmer from the gift card and part of the redemption code was missing/damaged. I contacted Apply Support, was given a case #, supplied all the required information including my gift receipt four times on four separate occasions to be told each time the information submitted is correct, and received. I have been told twice it will take 3-business days, and then I was told 10-business days. When I called to follow up today was told I had to resubmit all of the paperwork again. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told by the apple support agent "Milkie" she was dealing with my claim and it wouldn't be possible to speak to a supervisor. Has any one had this issue, and if so how was it resolved for you? I can't find any information about contacting anyone in Apple Inc., to help me.
