Why can't Apple just fix the birthday card template in Pages?

The Birthday Card template in Pages is backward. It has been for at least eight years. There are complicated workarounds other places on this site, but can someone who works with Pages just answer why you can't just fix it? In an old thread with this question there are at least 67 upvotes? This is supposed to be easy. It would probably take a template designer a max of 30 minutes to do this. Why are you so unresponsive?

The Pages application has a feedback menu item on its application menu. That is the only means of communicating (arguably one-way) with the Pages product team. No product team, and that includes any of Apple's teams have the time to meet their deliverables and surf all the posts in this community. Nothing would get done, and Apple cannot risk employees posting potentially internal information in a public community. So, I expect they are simply embargoed from posting here on pain of termination. Certainly one path to that prevention.


I used to work for an internation UNIX vendor that would terminate any employee found connecting a Microsoft Windows device to the internal corporate network. No appeal process, just simply gone.

But, it you'd put in that time, you'd already have a template. Waiting for Apple to "fix" it is going to take much longer than that.

Thanks for suggestions to all. Will try those third party templates. Re Idris, if I could I would. But I'm not a designer or particularly good at this, which is why I use Pages sometimes. Re VikingOSX, since this is an official Apple hosted community, I had no idea that the design teams don't see any of these issues. But I would ask the design management if that makes any sense? When your loyal user base is posting problems (again, at least 67 in previous closed thread) doesn't it make sense to, at least, use AI to condense remarks/complaints about your product, determine which are valid, then sort and address them in some order of priority? Seems like basic management to me. And again, for a competent designer (I have worked with them in other contexts) this might take an hour.
