missing codes in an apple gift card
I purchased an Apple gift card only to find out some parts of the codes are missing. I have the picture of it front and back also the receipt please help me out
You've purchased a card that has been tampered with. Crooks take cards from a store, get the codes, purposely ruin part of the revealed code, put a new scratch off over the code and then put it back on the store shelf.
In the meantime, they have already entered these cards and the redeem codes under their own name. As soon as someone purchases the card and puts money on it, they get the cash and then spend it, or move out to another account as quickly as possible so you can't get it back. The purpose for deliberately destroying part of the code is to give them more time to steal the funds.
You can try contacting Apple and see if the funds are still available to pull back, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
