One thing to understand about using hearing aids with the iPhone. While your connected to the phone and you can set to hear the phone call over your hearing aids, the microphone for the phone call is still the one located on the iPhone. So you need to have the iPhone near your mouth for the caller to be able to hear you. It is not like having AirPods or something like that for a call where you could have the phone in your pocket. This is the one drawback where the microphones for your hearing aids are not the ones being used for the phone call.
