Apple Gift Card Refund for Cancelled Order or Transaction

I cancelled order on apple.com within 10 minutes of placing it. A gift card was used for part of the purchase.

I called apple support and chatted with them - no one is able to share information when and how will get refund for my Gift card. It has been days now. just running around...
