My brother sent me a gift card from UK but I cannot redeem it. When I enter the pin it give me a message that, the code must open in UK storefront.

It’s of no value to you in Ghana, and if the card is lost or it’s code compromised, the underlying value will be forever irretrievable by you OR your brother.
Ask him to send you the money outside of the iTunes Store system.

The only suggestion that article provides in this case is to return it to the retailer, which the asker can't do, as they're not in the country it was sold from and weren't the person who bought the card.
