When cycling a section in Logic Pro, sustain turns off after one cycle

As the title says. Sustain is on and working as intended the first time

through, but then as soon as it loops, it turns off. It’s happening on

every track on every project. Only started happening very recently too.

It must be some setting I unwittingly tinkered with, but I have no idea

what and don't know how to un-tinker. Any help is appreciated.

Is the "Sustain Off" automation happening at the end of the region? If it is, then this makes sense as the region can only read the information you are giving it when it plays back. I believe you are going to have to apply the automation node at the beginning of the region if you want it to respond to that function. It's definitely a fascinating subject. Let's see if anyone else has anything to add.

The sustain "line" spans the entire region, and it works fine during regular playback. The issue only occurs when cycling - an issue which is somehow resolved by adding an additional node. I.e. if I'm cycling bars 2-4, upon repetition, sustain turns itself off, but then if I add another node at bar 2, sustain will turn back on when repeating. Similarly, if I place the node at bar 3 instead, then bar 2 won't have sustain on when it repeats, but bar 3 will. Even though sustain is on for the whole region anyway.

I've never had this issue before either - been using Garageband for 2 years, and then Logic itself for a few days before this problem emerged.

Tried both, no luck unfortunately. I even tried deleting and redoing the automaton and, assuming I did it properly, that didn't work either.

I have just noticed though if I add a sustain node to the very beginning of the section I'm cycling, the sustain will re-activate, so to speak, when it loops. But I'd prefer to not have to do that every single time.
