Did anyone from Canada unlock the AirPods Pro 2 Hearing Aid feature by crossing into the U.S.?

I’m investigating reports that simply crossing into the U.S. can unlock the Hearing Aid feature on AirPods Pro 2 for Canadian users. Has anyone here tried this “border-hop” trick or know someone who has?

I’m particularly interested in:

• Your AirPods Pro 2 firmware version and iOS version

• The exact border crossing location

• Steps you took immediately after crossing (reboot, Settings check, etc.)

• Whether the feature stayed active once you returned to Canada
