I use added tags for Pages, etc. The tags provided by Apple are colored dots. I have added both my tag and a color dot, but would like for my tag name to have it own color. Can I add color to my own tags?

Apple has not provided any means for users to create custom colored Finder tags. Custom names with existing color choices are your only option.
