I can’t work out how to use the minus formula in numbers and I keep getting a syntax error. I can’t understand the Apple explanation please help

The minus operator is not sufficient for what you are trying ti do? For instance, the formula:
B1-A1
Would calculate the value in cell B1 minus the value in cell A1.

Hi Patrice,
Perhaps this will work for you:
Row 1 is a Header Row. (That may not be important).
Formula in B2 is B$1−A2
The $ symbol preserves the row.
