Logic not letting me reverse sounds, or bounce MP3s

Hello, I am a long time Logic user but recently got a new computer and am having trouble with the Logic that I installed on it. I was having trouble bouncing MP3s but have found that WAV bounces work fine.

The real problem I'm having is that It won't let me reverse any audio. Anytime I try and reverse, I get the message attached in the picture, reading "You don't have permission to save file "LogicSampleUndo1" in the folder "temp".

I have tried everything, given Logic Full Disk Access, reinstalling, restarting, bouncing as an audio file and reversing that. I'm not sure what else to try and can't seem to find the "temp" folder in reference.

If anybody has any tips or has dealt with this before please let me know, thanks!

I've never had this issue in Logic Pro (or not yet), but I am going to go on a limb and ask some dumb questions in no particular order.

  • Do you know the exact location of this Temp folder? Meaning is it not in your project package?
  • Often files can be stashed in /var/folders or /tmp. Could it be living in one of these?
  • (Don't shoot me). Can a new project unrelated to this with project files in the project folder bounce an MP3?
  • Did you quit the app, even reboot? Yes, it's a dumb question, but sometimes an error like this can be caused by an app bug where a file is locked and doesn't release.

Just general advice, but hope this helps...
