Playback issues: 11.2.2 has problematic playback issues, but 10.7.8 doesn't. Why?
I've had to install an older version of Logic Pro X on my Mac because both computers running the latest version have massive playback issues on both new and old files—some or all tracks do not play.
Any workarounds for this? Version 10.7.8 works perfectly; 11.2.2 has playback issues. The settings are the same throughout.
When playback fails, there's no dB level registering at all, but the waveforms are visible—so this is not a solo or muting issue. All tracks are routed to stereo out.
I use a very simple setup. I strictly use Logic for recording cello overdubs for clients or personal projects. These sessions involve 4 or 5 tracks at most, with no additional plug-ins. All settings are identical between versions.
I tried deleting and reinstalling the newer version—same issue. I also quit and restarted Logic and the computer—no change.
My current workaround is running the older version on my Mac mini so I could finish a job (thankfully, I hadn’t updated one of my laptops yet!). But I’d really like to resolve this issue.
Any thoughts?
