Добрый день!

После восстановления из резервной копии пропали карты из Apple Pay (банк Казахстана, поддерживает Apple Pay), при попытке добавить заново появляется ошибка "Сбой настройки Apple Pay При настройке Apple Рау произошла ошибка." Перезагрука, cсмена региона, выход из аккаунта не помогает.

Как исправить проблему?

Регион Россия (пробовал смену Казахстан, США), карта Freedom Finance (Казахстан), до восстановления из резервной копии все работало

Good afternoon!

After restoring from a backup, the cards disappeared from Apple Pay. My region is set to Russia (I also tried switching to Kazakhstan and the USA), and the card is from Freedom Finance Bank (Kazakhstan), which supports Apple Pay.

Before restoring from the backup everything was working fine. Now, when I try to add the card again, I get the error:

“Apple Pay Setup Failed. An error occurred while setting up Apple Pay.”

Restarting the device, changing the region, and signing out of the account did not help.

How can I fix this issue?

Most (all?) banks do not support adding their cards to iPhones located within Russia. Switching the region does not change the physical location of the iPhone. Disabling GPS or GLONASS and cards are blocked.

To add cards issued by a non-Russian bank, the iPhone generally needs to have the region set and be physically within the borders of the country the bank is located in.

That’s not true. Apple Pay does not support Russian cards, but it doesn’t mean that users from Russia can’t add cards issued in other countries.

I have the same issue with Apple Pay on one of my iPhones. However, adding cards to the second iPhone works as expected. Both are used with the same Apple ID and connected to the same network.

Sure, they said fully support Apple Pay and do not have any restriction (card fully working yesterday). I’ve tried add card from another bank, when I press + is only error

Apple Pay is not supported in Russia. Changing the region does not change the physical location of where the device is. You’ll need to use the physical card(s).
