not able to view pages if i delete/unlink focus

so i wanted to make a new wallpaper because why not and i made my current pages connected to a focus, however whenever i try to turn on the pages on another wallpaper/focus its just blank. ive tried disconnecting the pages from the focus but then they just fully go away and i have to connect it again to see it, ive also tried deleting the focus all together but then i cant access the pages at all, i had to make a focus and link the pages to be able to view them
