Unedited photo shows odd overlay on iPhone

I just found a photo I captured last week looks so weird. I did not manually modified it, how is the helicopter covered the boy’s neck while it is behind the boy.how could that happen?

You could get an effect like that while taking a panorama if the children moved while the camera scanned by them, but it would have had to be a vertical panorama. Note that their heads are not really lined up with their bodies, and there is a jagged edge on the left arm of the left child.

You can also get strange distortions because of the automatic HDR fusion. The iPhone 13 will take images as HDR images, if the conditions seem right. Then it is fusing up to nine images taken in a quick succession with different exposures. If someone or something is starting to move unexpectedly while the images are taken, we can see distorted bodies or objects.

An example: And this bear has fuzzy contours and shifted eyes because of the HDR fusion

We cannot see directly, if an iPhoto is a HDR photo, but when we open it in Metapho, we can see, if it is composite image: I wondered, why the tail of this fox has a gap and Metaphor has shown me, it is a HDR image (deeply fused, Gain Map HDR).
