You may be experiencing some HDCP handshaking issues. Wireless technologies and their lag create problems with copyrighted content not conveying across. This becomes especially present with videos, but not as much with audio. Most CDs are 16 bit audio. Use the Audio Midi Setup utility to change your output to 16 bit stereo to avoid most problems with music from CDs.
Sony CDs have some real problems as they encoded a copy protection on many of their CDs.

I found in some cases I had to pull out my Snow Leopard running Mac Mini to play some CDs that wouldn't play elsewhere on a simple Verbatim USB DVD burner.
Once converted to 192 kbps MP3, I had no issues with the music. Lower kbps on MP3, or 128 kbps on AAC files tended to have crackling noise. I have not tested on bluetooth headphones per se with Sequoia, but if I have a chance I'll definitely check it out.
