My Pencil Pro is no longer working on my iPad Mini with IOS 26. It seems to be charging OK, the little popup onscreen shows it when I attach it magnetically, but using the pencil it doesn’t do anything like it did before the update. Cannot click on icons or anything.

I was also struggling with this, tried unpairing and repairing restarting etc. many times.
but I was able to resolve the issue by resting network settings
general > transfer or reset > reset > reset network settings
will have to enter your WiFi password in again after restarting but was a fairly painless way to fix for me
Since updating my new iPad A16 with iOS 26, my Apple Pencil can only be connected via cable. I have been in contact with Apple Support for an hour and a half, and they ultimately said it is a software issue.
I’m having the same issue on my iPad Air with Apple Pencil pro. The pencil is charging fine but it won’t stay connected. Even after I try to disconnect and reconnect the pencil. It’s annoying because I need the pencil for my Cricut fall crafting….lol.
Me too. Updated to 26.0.1 and my Apple Pencil Pro has become an expensive but useless ornament. I’ve tried resetting my WiFi and deleting it from my Bluetooth devices. My iPad won’t even find my pencil now when I try searching for new Bluetooth devices.
Have you found a fix yet? My pencil shows connected, can double tap to change to the eraser, but it will not write anything on the screen in the apple notes app. It started as soon as I updated to 26.0.1, and plugged my iPad into my MacBook Pro to charge it.
Yes, still not working after a restart. I’ve also tried turning off and back on some of the Pencil settings, and still no luck.

Same symptoms, is cahrging (show the pop-up 100%), then works for 2-3 seco ds then disconnect from the app (GoodNotes). Heeeeeeelp, not sustainable to take notes in meetings 🥲

Same issue Apple Pencil Pro is not working with the new Apple update 26. I just purchased my iPad mini with Apple Pencil Pro less than a month ago.
