I think the liquid glass option is ugly and looking at the layout for too long gives me a headache. how do i remove the feature or get rid of the outline on all my app icons? i feel like it should be optional instead of forced.

The outline you speak of might be caused by having contrast turned on. It puts a border around everything and makes clear glass look grey.
In Settings > Accessibility > Display and Text > Increase Contrast - OFF.

I don’t usually complain about things, but this is also affecting me physically from headaches because of the poor design and also my phone is not working correctly. I have tried all the steps and try to make adjustments. It’s simply bad design so we have two options to either wait for them to fix it software, which they haven’t or to get another phone. Should we all just keep reaching out to Apple and hoping they fix it? or just go to Android phones

Personally, I like Liquid Glass and have let Apple know that. As for whether or not you should switch to an Android phone, well 1) I doubt anyone here cares what you decide and 2) Android is moving to something similar to Liquid Glass called, I think, "Materials 3.0."
Sure, go to Android, we don't care here on this user to user only forum. But as Bob Timmons correctly suggests, you'll likely be pretty disappointed there as well.
Can we assume you popped in, read the first post and replied without reading any of the other responses? Had you taken the time to do read further, you'd have seen options which are available to you which would likely make you much happier.

i've already tried this and reduce motion, but neither of them changed anything.
i also already know to modify the icon display; it doesn't take away the outline they put around it.
i want the liquid glass look gone from my entire phone, not just the app icons.

Press on an empty section of screen until it icons wiggle.
look in the upper left corner, press edit. Select customize
You should see icons for app icon settings.
I must see how to make rollback on my Ipad.

This is one of the worst UI updates in memory. Apple needs to provide an option to revert to the previous style, liquid glass is awful.
