iOS 26 Cellular doesn't work after update

Hello,

I updated my iPhone 14 Pro to iOS 26 today, and I've noticed that cellular service is not working at all.

When the phone booted after the update, it didn't ask for the SIM PIN code.

I also went to Settings > Mobile Service > SIM PIN and tried to disable the PIN, but when I tried to tap on Change PIN, nothing happens.

Additionaly, my phone number no longer appears in the mobile service section.

Also, when I open SIM Applications, I can see my carriers services listed, but when I tap on them, nothing happens.

I have already tried:

- Restarting the device

- Reinserting the SIM card

- Checking for carrier settings updates

Is anyone else experiencing this? Any solutions?

Guys i may have found the solution for this problem , you need to turn lockdown mode off , you can check it via - privacy and security, lockdown mode

Lockdown mode is "designed for the very few individuals who, because of who they are or what they do, might be personally targeted by some of the most sophisticated digital threats. Most people are never targeted by attacks of this nature."

If you have it on and you don't fit into that category, you should definitely turn it off.

same issue, upgraded SIM card to eSIM no fix. Bought a second eSIM for a 2nd number, issue still persisted. reset network settings, did not help, pain in the butt to re-enter all lost, passwords and logins. my network customer service thought it was a network issue, but only certain people affected, Apple iPhone users SMH. recently upgraded have not had too many issues so far. Reparations are needed for all the headaches they have caused all their customers.

After updating my iPhone 16e to iOS 26, I started having the "No Service" or "SOS only" issue. Updating to iOS 26.1 didn't help.

I tried my SIM card in an iPhone 12 Pro Max with iOS 26.1 and had the same issue, but it works fine in my old iPhone 5 on iOS 10.3.4.

I don't want to get stuck with a 13-year-old phone. Please fix it!

I updated to IOS 26.1 a few days ago on my 19 month old iPhone 15 pro. Cellular network is now no longer available. I’ve tried all things shown on this post without any success.

Having run apple support software I took the phone to a local store in UK. After a quick check I was told that the fix would be to replace the phone internals at a cost of £502 and around 1 week! That’s around 50% of the value of the phone. I’m trying to decide whether to stick with apple or look at other manufacturers devices.

Any tips or info gladly received. 🙏🏼

I’ve been having the same problem ever since updating to iOS 26.1 on my iPhone 12 Pro Max.

I went to the Genius Bar, and the initial diagnostics showed that cellular, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth were all not working. They then restored my phone, and everything passed the diagnostic tests afterward.

However, once I got home and inserted my SIM card, everything stopped working again. It’s clearly a software issue, but the only advice they gave me was to trade in the phone…

It’s really frustrating.

Not yet.

  • This phone do not have any issue with 2 other SIMs (other service providers).
  • The SIM with issue worked fine with an iPhone at iOS 18.x, an older iPhone at iOS 16.x and also an Android device.
  • No any issue before updating to iOS 26.1

To me the SIM clashed with the iOS 26.1 and hanged at the status of searching a service, purely a software issue.

I don't dare try again because if the issue come up again, I need to restore the phone again with backup.

Now I just use it with Wifi and wait until next version and hope this issue get resolved.

Same thing happened to me too with iPhone 14. Now there is no cellular so can’t make any calls or send any messages. Apple diagnostics said it was a hardware problem but I didn’t have a single problem before the update. It worked perfectly. I’ve tired every solution multiple times. How will this be fixed? And how long will it take? It’s essential to be able to use cellular.
