How do I downgrade from iOS 26 to iOS 18

I upgraded to iOS 26 when it was released and hate it. Everything is worse. How can I go back to iOS 18? I have an iPad an iPhone and 2 Apple Watches that were upgraded.

iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 26

You can't downgrade. It has never been supported. I think iOS 26 is pretty cool, but as with all Major iOS updates, there is a learning curve and once you get accustomed to things, you'll likely no longer even remember the previous iOS. That is until next September, when an all new iOS is released again.

Will I also forget that all my devices (not that old, 1 or 2 years, and I always buy Pro iOS an IPad devices) were never slow and laggy? To the point where they get hard to use because you aren’t sure if you actually pressed a button or not?

My iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max are running just fine on iOS 26. If your iPhone is running slow, you could have a LOT data to index, which could take a few days. It takes time to index millions and millions of bytes of data.

What do you mean "not supported"? It's a normal restore, using Apple's own instructions. I just did it myself.

Only if the user previously updated using a computer, that is rare. Any other “signed IPSW” available will be a jailbreak.

If you have Apple instructions, and if you want to help, then post the link, always.

Yeah, well, you're wrong. I used it for 5 minutes last night, and it annoyed me in three new ways:

It now takes *two* taps just to get to your list of tabs in Safari because there's just less information and control in the bowser window. "Changing tabs" is not something that needed to be harder.

The in-app browser in Apple News froze up because the button to close it disappears as you scroll, and this particular web page popped up an overlay that prevented scrolling.

It's no longer possible to see all your transactions on the Apple Card in the weekly/monthly "Activity" view, because the floating "Balance" window at the bottom covers one of them up.

Sign iOS 18 for users

You are not speaking to Apple here, so they will not hear your plea. You may have also forgot when iOS 18 was released that there were many users that did not like it either. That is pretty typical and not a cause for alarm. In fact you can go back to every OS release and find the same posts even here on this support site. Mark this thread when the next UI change is made and it will be iOS 26 that users are requesting to go back to.
