After macOS Tahoe Update: Notifications, Siri, and Widgets Not Working

I just updated my MacBook Pro Max to macOS Tahoe, but now I can’t access my notifications. Siri doesn’t respond, even when I click on the icon at the top, and I’m unable to add widgets or find my old ones on the desktop. I’ve restarted the laptop several times, but nothing changed. I also checked the settings for notifications and Siri, and both are enabled. I think this might be a macOS software bug.

Yeah, looks like a known macOS Tahoe glitch. After the update, Notification Center, Siri, and widgets can bug out due to a corrupted background service. Try this: open Terminal and run

killall ControlCenter
killall NotificationCenter

Then log out and back in. If that doesn’t fix it, boot into Safe Mode, let the system rebuild caches, and reboot normally. Most users report it starts working again after that — definitely seems like a software-side issue.

Was stuck with this for weeks, did everything here - I came across a fix for a different OS, but they had the same issues. I gave it a try and this is what finally did it for me-

"Try removing all files and directories from here:

~/Library/Group Containers/group.com.apple.UserNotifications/Library/UserNotifications/Remote/default

if doing so in Terminal you will need to grant Full Disk Access to Terminal first in System Preferences -> Privacy & Security"
