Spotlight search / clipboard history not working in Tahoe MacOS 26

I've got all of that enabled. Still can't copy to the Spotlight clipboard from the Mail app. But Maccy can do it just fine!

Spotlight now saves what you copy and paste, so you have a log of what you've been doing that you can go back and reference.

You can see your entire history for the day, but it is limited to 24 hours.

Thanks for letting me know. I tried it but the result is the same. After restarting/shutdown, it works at first but after a few hours it still can't find anything after copying. Even the Spotlight tab in Settings is still loading.

I've sent feedback about this issue to Apple.

It works fine on your Mac, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it will work fine on mine (m4 mbp).

Perhaps the best solution for me right now is to use Maccy for this.

Quite disappointed with macOS 26.

The same issue occurred in my mac studio M4 MAX, and I have reinstalled the macOS26, but it still doesn't work. It's ridiculous that everything is normal on my wife's M4 mac mini with macOS26, and Spotlight is working as usual. That's unbelievable.

I have used that feature of unlocking with my Apple Watch previously (it is enabled in settings) but this issue persists despite almost always typing my screen lock password to clear the screensaver or upon waking the device.

Unfortunately my current tool is effective, syncs across devices (auto-captures and syncs clipboard value on Mac, but requires manual app interaction on iPhone), and retains clipboard memory for a set number of entries instead of imposed arbitrary time limits. Why isn't there a shortcut/automation trigger for when new material is added to the clipboard?

I have a similar issue, but it's isolated specifically to the Mail app. Nothing I copy from Mail will appear in the Spotlight clipboard history. Copying content from any other app is fine. Absolutely maddening. I've had to reinstall Maccy so I can use a clipboard manager which stores text/content from emails.

FWIW, as it states in the info for Clipboard Search, it's available for 8 hrs, not 24 hrs.

I’m having the same problem! I’ve tried restarting, and it seems to fix it for a bit, but then it pops up again after just a day.

I tried restarting the machine, it solved the problem but it happened again the next day.

Going to Spotlight in settings it was still loading the page

The problem here is not that the "clipboard" only saves history for 8 hours but that it doesn't work, right after I just copied something to the clipboard

Sorry you're having issues with it. Just so you know, it should work. It works on my Macs running Tahoe.

Lucky her. I'm here on a new M4 Mac Mini and having the same Spotlight issue.
