Are refurbished iPad batteries as good as the new ones?

I am a student and I use my iPad at least 16 hours a day so I need to know if the battery life for the refurbished is as good as the new as I am also on a tight budget right now. I am looking to get the iPad 10 256gb refurbished I currently have the iPad 11 128gb (the storage is too small for me)

iPad, iPadOS 18

Apple does not refurbish batteries. In the case of refurbished iPads by Apple, the iPads that require it will get a brand new battery, unless the battery for the device is deemed to be in as new or close enough to new state.

The battery life and performance on a refurbished iPad should be no different to that of a new one.

If refurbished by some other party, then there's no way to know what kind of battery life it has left.
