SIM Cards Automatically Lock During Sleep Mode on iOS 26

I‘m having the same issue with my iPhone 15.

Disabling a security feature as a workaround leaves a very bad taste.

I’m experiencing the same issue with my iPhone 14 Pro Max running ios no 26.

both sims lock

an esim and a regular nano sim

no change after the update to 26.01

PIN Locking an eSIM would seem pointless. That would reduce your problem by half

I am experiencing the same issue. And this is a real problem. I need to be able to receive text messages (SMS) during the night. Relying on an iPhone is not possible anymore.

Concur … although I haven’t “unPIN’d” our own eSIMs yet.

(old habits indeed die hard … unless a forcing function is introduced)

It is a carrier issue.

It is a critical issue as Îm loosing importnt calls in the morning.

ios18 was much better for many aspects.

Same here, every single morning I need to unlock my SIM. It’s a very big problem…I’m on a iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Everything was OK before updating to iOS 26….

No most contributors are talking about leaving it on and locked overnight, or on charge overnight.

+1. Exactly the same issue that others have.

The only thing that changed is iOS 26.

Since the update on some mornings my second (physical) sim is often locked.

I have the same issue. It is a real problem when I am oncall…
