Provide a Screen Shot from About this Mac >> Without the serial number appearing

Then post back using the " Image Insertion " second to last icon

The Mac App Store is still reporting performance issues, and that's the service that delivers macOS upgrades (vs updates).

Don't know why it's not working for you. Works on my M1 MacBook Air.
