Visual voicemail alternating between no messages and saved messages after iOS 26 update

After updating to iOS 26, visual voicemail keeps alternating between no messages and showing the saved messages. It does this a couple of times before finally settling on showing my messages. This has to be related to the iOS update as this didn’t happen before the update.
