iTunes Match - This item cannot be downloaded

When I try to play tracks from my iTunes Match library, only tracks that are marked as 'uploaded' can be played. Any track that is marked as 'matched' fails to play and shows the error "This item cannot be downloaded. The item you have requested is not available for download."

This happens on Mac, iPhone, iPad and Windows, so it's not device related.

Anyone else having this error?

I don't care if tracks are unavailable for download, just don't mark it as matched then and use the file I uploaded...
