How to get my HomePod mini to properly connect to a WiFi that requires a Mac adress?

I have connected Apple and my colleges office of technology. Neither of them can get it to work, and I don’t know what to do. I love my HomePod but it won’t connect to WiFi due to it requiring a Username and password. So I was able to get the Mac adress to send it to my college! It won’t work, what do I do? Also, none of the other WiFi’s that my college shows will work either.
