Missing mail and message sounds on macOS Sequoia 15.7

I have lost Mail and Message sounds. All computers are running OS 15.7 so all up to date. I have tried the usual fixes including a few shutdowns after making changes but the silence remains. One thing I noticed in the notifications, is that mail only has Badges and Banners, with no sound option. I have attached a screen shot of it. Has anyone else had this problem?

Tested using macOS 26.0.1 Tahoe

Messages in Notification Centre does have a Play Sound

Where as Mail does not

Mail >> Setting >> General ( second image below )

Sound in Apples' Messages application in Tahoe 26.1

Just tested and it does work

As of a couple of days ago, I have the same issue as well. No sound at all when I send an email. Tried checking and unchecking the "Play sound for other email actions" button and it has not worked. Shut down mail, rebooted computer and still cant get back the "swoosh" sound.
