Compressor fails to render 2-hour videos on iMac with Intel processor

Hello, I have a problem with the compressor.

The problem is that the compressor renders short videos, but as soon as I render a long 2-hour video, it stops after two hours of rendering and displays the error: Failed: ProMSRendererTool_sb error -50: Failed to render video at 2h 5m 53.60s. I tried reinstalling the compressor and it didn't help. I send the videos there from the final cut, which I also reinstalled. I also tried deleting the render files, creating a new project, but nothing helped.

I have an imac 27 year 2020 with an intel processor. Thanks

Are you using Send to Compressor?

In my experience it is best to either:

a) export a master file in FCP and then bring that to Compressor to create whichever versions you need.

or

b) Add a destination in FCP “with compressor settings”, and select the desired setting; export directly from FCP.

I would use a) if multiple output versions are needed: export a ProRes master and bring it to Compressor, create a batch, export.

I would use b) for a single output.
