My transferred CD tracks won't play on my new iPhone 16

Upgraded from iPhone 11 to iPhone 16. Music has transferred but only music purchased from iTunes will play. Music from cds via laptop which played perfectly on old phone will not play on the new phone. Ant suggestions please?

Music synced onto an iPhone from another device like a laptop is not transferred.

You can sync it from the laptop to the new iPhone, or if you were using iCloud Music library with an Apple Music or iTunes Match subscription, go to to Settings ➜ Apps ➜ Music ➜ Sync Library and make sure its turned on.
